Granny Cake Recipe

1 Yellow Cake Mix Box

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1 Can Crushed Pineapple (I believe 16 oz)

2 eggs

Topping:

1/4 Cup Brown sugar

1 stick butter

1 Can Condensed Milk

2/3 Cup sugar

Options: Use a can of Fruit Cocktail insteal

of Crushed Pinapples. I have also added

Mandrin Oranges as well.

Add to the cake mix your sugar, eggs and can of pineapple and mix items well together.Place in a 9x13 greased cake pan. Spread 1/4 cup of brown sugar over top of cake. Bake in a pre-heated 350 over.Bake 30 or until not gooey.

While cake is baking, in a sauce pan melt butter, then added sugar and can of

condensed milk. Bring this to a boil and lower heat and cook for approximately

3 minutes. Stirring Constantly! Take off heat and once cake is pulled out of oven...use a toothpick to punch holes all over cake and pour this gooey mixture over entire cake. I also, pull all sides away from pan so that the topping can ooze its way down the sides. Let this sit and the topping will soak

into your cake!

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream!

Enjoy!

Garden Salad

3 head of cabbage shredded. 2 large peppers finely chopped ( I used a yellow and orange-can use any). 3 pints (cans)of beans of your choice. Mix 2 tablespoons of minced garlic or more to taste, mayonnaise, lawry’s garlic salt with parsley. Use the amount of garlic, mayonnaise, and garlic salt to your liking. Mix with the cabbage, peppers, and beans. Chill in refrigerator. Stir before serving.

The BEST Soft & Chewy Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Author: Hayley Parker, The Domestic Rebel

Recipe type: Cookies

Prep time: 1 hour 15 mins

Cook time: 10 mins

Total time: 1 hour 25 mins

Serves: 24

Soft, chewy and perfectly tender Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies will be a hit with your family! Tart, bright cranberries and smooth, sweet white chocolate make for the ultimate irresistible flavor combination.

Ingredients

  • cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • cup brown sugar
  • cup white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract (I like to use Madagascar Bourbon)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Instructions
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the butter, brown sugar & white sugar with the paddle attachment until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla and egg to combine. Lastly, beat in the flour, cornstarch, baking soda and pinch of salt until a soft dough has formed. Stir in the cranberries and white chips by hand.
  • Refrigerate the cookie dough for AT LEAST 1 HOUR. You can chill it overnight if you'd like, but one hour chill time is mandatory to prevent cookies from spreading and to create that light, soft and chewy texture.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with silicone liners or mist lightly with cooking spray. Remove chilled dough from fridge and roll into Tablespoon-sized balls. Place onto the cookie sheets about 1-2" apart from one another.
  • Bake for approx. 8-10 minutes, rotating pans halfway through baking time to ensure an even cook. Cookies may appear slightly undone, but do not over-bake them! They will continue to set up more as they cool. Allow cookies to set on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes or so before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. If you'd like to make them prettier, garnish cookies with additional white chips on top of still-warm cookies before serving.
